What is the difference between 3-terminal and 4-terminal measurement?
The 3-terminal method is the standard fall-of-potential earth resistance measurement. The 4-terminal method adds separate current and potential leads to cancel out lead resistance, which matters when measuring very low earth resistance values.
Does this tester need hand-cranking?
No. It uses a DC/AC conversion circuit and a low-frequency constant current source instead of a hand-cranked generator, which removes the physical effort and the reading instability of manual generation.
What is it used for?
