Automatic AC Withstand Voltage Test Set

Overview: the GDNY-III automatic power-frequency withstand voltage test set is designed to the latest national industry test standards. It is safe and reliable, powerful, easy to use and simple to maintain. It is mainly used for insulation strength tests at a specified voltage on electrical products, electrical components and insulating materials, to assess the insulation level of a product, find insulation defects in the test object and measure its ability to withstand overvoltage. It is the preferred product for power utility departments, electrical equipment manufacturers, the metallurgy, coal mining and electrified railway sectors, research institutes and universities that need withstand voltage test equipment. Display and operation: voltage, current, time, status information and prompt information are shown on a 4.7-inch large-screen LCD with clear, direct readings. The interface is fully Chinese, operation is simple and clear, and it can be adapted to many applications. All functions are set through light-touch keys, which improves safety and reliability. Fully digital calibration replaces the old potentiometer adjustment, making field use very convenient and accuracy easy to control (this function is password protected). The test transformer ratio is set directly from the keys (also password protected), so the set connects flexibly to test transformers of different voltage classes and one control box really can be matched with several transformers.

Operation guidance and results: a status reminder function with fully Chinese guided operation means the set can be operated skilfully even without the manual. During a test a flashing high-voltage symbol is shown on screen to remind the operator to pay attention to safety at all times. The result display automatically judges the test result (passed or failed) and reliably records the voltage at which the test object suffered over-current, flashover or breakdown. An audible alarm function gives different alarm sounds for a passed and a failed test, so the operator can tell the result directly from the sound.

Control functions: the pause function allows the voltage rise or fall to be paused at any point during automatic control, for as long as the operator needs, making it convenient to observe the test object. Automatic timing starts when the voltage has risen automatically to the set value; when the time elapses the result is displayed and the set returns to zero automatically. Manual timing is available in manual control, where the timer is started by hand and the set returns to zero automatically when the withstand time elapses (bench-top units only). Manual control mode is similar to the conventional motorised raise/lower method: rise and fall are controlled by buttons, the upper and lower limits are judged automatically and over-voltage protection is provided. The voltage rise rate is controlled intelligently, slowing automatically at 80% of the target voltage and slowing further at 90%. Optional features include remote communication, a door interlock with warning lamp and bell, and an external divider calibration interface. Combined hardware and software anti-interference techniques give stable performance and strong interference immunity.
